Once a year at Christmas time we remember the birth of Jesus. Typically Christmas involves some level of gift exchanging. People have different opinions about how much you should give. Some people spend a lot of money while others choose to keep it simple. Presents at Christmas time remind us of the greatest gift in all the world; Jesus Christ. God sent His Son to be our Savior.
You may have heard it said that you can not love without giving. You can give and not love, but when you love someone you will want to give to them. It may be your time, your attention, a tangible gift etc. God gave us His Son because He loves us. 1 John 4:9-11 "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another." When I think about God's love for me, I'm overwhelmed that He would send His Son. It's such an amazing wonderful event, we should celebrate it all year! Merry Christmas! ~Holly
