Since the inception of the United Nations, America has gradually given up her rights to the ever increasing arm of this unelected diplomatic, tyrannical body. The Constitution of the United States gives the people a right to have a say in what laws they live under, but when the United Nations drafts a "treaty" (which is basically a law) only the branch of the Legislature that the people have the smallest control over- the Senate- approves the treaty. After ratification the United Nations has often taken it upon themselves to expand there treaties beyond their originally understood stopping point - putting in jeopardy the rights of Americans. In recent years the UN has attempted to dictate to the Catholic Church what their doctrine should be. They have tried to nullify the American Second Amendment by saying an armed society is a danger to children. Americans must wake up to this ever increasing threat to their liberty, before the United Nations destroys American Law.

Examples of United Nations Overreach
Regardless of what denomination you are a part of every Christian should be concerned with the UN overreach into the Catholic Church.
2014- The United Nations asked the Catholic Church to change their doctrine on abortion (and in so doing, in effect, asked all denominations to do the same).
"The Committee urges the Holy See to review its position on abortion , which places obvious risks on the life and health of pregnant girls, and to amend Canon 1398 relating to abortion with a view to identifying circumstances under which access to abortion services may be permitted."
Since the beginning of the Christianity abortion has been viewed as murder. Christians have always affirmed the unborn child's humanity, but to change this doctrine would not only change tradition, but would make the Church a party to one of the greatest human rights abuses in history - the murder of innocent children.
2014- The United Nations asked the Catholic Church to change their doctrine on homosexuality.
"The Committee also urges the Holy See to make full use of its moral authority to support efforts at the international level for the decriminalization of homosexuality."
Once again since the beginning of Christianity, homosexuality has been regarded as a sin. The Catholic Church can in no way change their doctrine without calling into question all of the teachings of the church and scripture. The Bible specifically condemns homosexuality in three places. Once in the Old Testament and twice in the New Testament. When dealing with Christian groups the UN needs to realize that they are dealing with a faith that does not rest on man's whims but on God's unchanging word.
