BREAKING NEWS!!! The Romeikes can stay!!! This amazing news comes right on the heels of a disappointing announcement yesterday by the Supreme Court that they would not hear the Romeike case. With this new announcement from the DHS, however, the case would have been unnecessary, and the Romeikes can stay in the United States.
Praise the Lord!

It's primary time in Texas! Polls are open today until 7pm. We've endorsed four great conservative candidates: Greg Abbott for Governor, Ken Paxton for Attorney General, Katrina Pierson for Congress (TX32), and Konni Burton for Texas State Senate in District 10! Find your polling place here, and be sure to bring your photo ID! Greg Abbott for Governor Currently the Attorney General of Texas, Greg Abbott has been a tireless fighter for Texas families and conservative values. He has filed over two dozen lawsuits against the Obama Administration, fighting to stop Obamacare, rein in the EPA, and protect states' rights. His is one of the strongest voices for faith, family, and freedom, and can be counted on to continue his strong leadership as Texas' next Governor. Ken Paxton for Attorney General With General Abbott running for Governor, Texas needs a strong Constitutional Conservative to replace him in the Attorney General's office. That man is Ken Paxton. He has fought for conservative values as a State Senator and will continue to fight to preserve the Constitution, guard religious freedom, defend voter ID laws, protect the sanctity of life, and more. Katrina Pierson for Congress Congressman Pete Sessions has been in Washington too long and has lost touch with the people of Texas' 32nd Congressional District. In fact, he doesn't even live there - he's decided he likes Florida better instead. We need Katrina Pierson -- a passionate advocate for freedom who Ted Cruz has described as "an utterly fearless principled conservative." Konni Burton for Senate District 10 Senate District 10 may sound familiar -- that's the seat that pro-abortion Wendy Davis currently holds. But not for long! Even before Davis announced her run for Governor, grassroots conservative Konni Burton has been ready to do whatever it takes to take back Senate District 10. Burton is endorsed by Ted Cruz, as well as by many other conservative leaders in Texas.

Mississippi has a chance to elect a real conservative to the United States Senate in 2014 - State Senator Chris McDaniel. From the Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF): "This seat is currently held by Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS), a 34-year incumbent Republican with a record of supporting bailouts, more debt, tax increases, and funding for Obamacare... [A new poll] shows McDaniel trailing Cochran by only 6 points, which means he has closed the gap by more than 30 points since we polled in August." Not only that, but Senator Cochran still hasn't made a decision whether he will seek re-election. The SCF notes that "if Cochran has to face a strong, well-funded primary opponent, he will likely retire." Family
- Webster's Dictionary.
"Social science confirms the importance of marriage for children. According to the best available sociological evidence, children fare best on virtually every examined indicator when reared by their wedded biological parents. Studies that control for other factors, including poverty and even genetics, suggest that children reared in intact homes do best on educational achievement, emotional health, familial and sexual development, and delinquency and incarceration." - Heritage Foundation.

The United States Constitution gives the House of Representatives the power of the purse, giving them enough power to hold back an out of control executive. The House therefore was given the right to select what to fund and what not to fund. As for funding the Government as has been pointed out previously, and as Harry Reid failed to point out; the House has compromised on the Continuing Resolution, it has been the Senate that has failed to compromise. The House went from a full defund of ObamaCare to only delaying one part of the Law, but still the Senate refused. Also, although the Republican leadership of the House of Representatives ask for negotiations with the Senate Democrats, the Senate refused. The House may not be totally willing to concede defeat, but at least they are willing to come to some middle ground.
Despite a meeting today the President and Democrats are still refusing to negotiate.
